It's been too long

I realize it has been months and months since my last blog post.  Something you need to know about me is if I don't want to do something, I put it off and put it off . . . . writing is not my favorite thing hence why there hasn't been a post in a while.  Sorry teenage Oscar who will read this someday.

So some major things that have happened in the last two months.  Oscar is walking!!!  He is also getting so many teeth: top, bottom, front, back.  Oscar's current favorite words/phrases are: please, please mom, dad, shoes, ba (banana) and the ever classic 'ball'.  He has recently been telling me if he has or is about to 'poop'.  Things he loves: fruit snacks, balls and blackberries.  Things he doesn't love: grass, cheese, crowds and trying new foods.  He calls grandma 'ma' and grandpa 'pa', and he loves loves loves the chimes on their front porch.  He really likes going on walks, swinging, taking baths and going down the slide.  As far as friends go . . . Oscar hangs out with Amaia, Jaelle, Asher, Charlotte and Jacen.

One thing that is definately worth mentioning is that Oscar had his first real haircut!  He did great!!!  And Uncle David made him look so sweet!

First Time Fair Goer

Oscar enjoyed the Iowa State Fair for the first time this week!  We went on Tuesday evening with Grandpa, Grandma, Uncle Matt and Aunt Nicole.  Some highlights included: Ye Olde Mill with Aunt Nicole, getting lost with Grandpa several times, witnessing the Hairball concert and seeing many many ponies and oversized animals.  No fun fair food yet, but he sure enjoyed watching everyone else eat.

Jersey Adventure

Last week, I was able to go to New Jersey with some good friends Lisa Martone, Joni Beachy and Michelle Sacco.  It was a wonderful trip!!  Lisa is from New Jersey so we got to stay with her family and they only live a half hour from New York City.  I learned so much about each of the gals and this is cheesy, but I learned a lot about our country since I had never been to New York but had heard of it for so long.  Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the trip.
